With the help of the Internet musicians can work on common projects even if they reside on different continents, by digitally recording their parts and sending the digitized music to each other, then mixing the parts to produce the resulting work. Modern computers make it easy and affordable for musicians to produce good-sounding music at home.

The Internet also opens an exciting possibility for musicians who never met in real life to contribute to each other's projects, to bring together ideas and sounds from cultures around the world, creating new and fresh music. We have developed an online tool to support these collaborative projects.
